Building communication between scientists and statisticians for experimental laboratory studies.
This section aims to provides a network for statistical researchers involved in imaging studies.
Addresses the issues encountered by statisticians working on fairly complex, routine datasets.
Improving the uptake of more robust methodology in early phase clinical trials.
The aspiration of the Ophthalmic Statistics Group is to raise quality of statistics in ophthalmic publications.
Is intended to bring together resources targeted towards improved statistical literacy throughout the NIHR.
The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Statistics Group aims to promote uptake of the most appropriate statistical methodology, facilitate networking opportunities to share best practice and allow opportunity for applied statisticians, clinicians and scientists to collaborate.
NIHR statisticians are funded by NIHR research units such as the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), Biomedical Research Unit (BRU), Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), Research Design Service (RDS), Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRC), Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre (ECMC) or by an NIHR research grant.
The NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure (NOCRI) have used the NIHR Statistics Group as an exemplar of collaborative working between the different NIHR infrastructure organisations.
