Statistical issues in evaluating an intervention to improve interpretation of CT colonography images
Category: Imaging Studies
This meeting will bring together statisticians, clinicians and other methodologists for discussion of common statistical issues in imaging studies. Challenges will be illustrated by a clinical example – designing an intervention to improve interpretation of CT colonography images in the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. We expect that the issues discussed will be widely applicable to other imaging modalities. Statistical issues for discussion in this meeting with include:
- Development of a radiology training intervention for use in the bowel cancer screening programme
- Evaluation of the radiology training intervention in a cluster RCT
- Pros and cons of design and analysis of cluster RCT
- Sample size issues
