Overcoming Challenges in Emulating Target Trials using Routine Data

Category: Routine data

Location: Queen Mary University of London, Whitechapel, London, E1 2AT | Date: 14 October 2024

PowerPoint slides

Talk 1 – Transparent reporting of observational studies explicitly aiming to emulate randomised trials: A systematic review

Talk 2 Non-interventional studies based on actual existing RCTs: why, when and how?

Talk 3 – Weight loss and CVD using TTE: Reflections on emulating “well-defined” interventions

Talk 4 – Applying the target trial emulation framework and an instrumental variable analysis to compare second-line oral antidiabetic treatmetnts using routinely collected health data from England

Talk 5 – The promises and perils of target trial emulation for causal inference from observational data

As statistical research evolves, the availability of large data resources is increasing, necessitating the development of more effective methodologies for their analysis and handling. This workshop aims to bring together experts in the field to address key challenges and share insights on the emulation of target trials using routine data.

The event will be held in person, and all talks will be recorded for later distribution. The workshop is open to all and will be especially relevant to statisticians and researchers working with target trial emulation using routinely collected data.
